Darebin Music Feast is honoured to present the Melbourne premier of Hail to the King, a unique take on the work of Elvis Presley, by Russall S. Beattie Presents. Hail to the King kicks off the opening celebrations of the 2013 Darebin Music Feast and plays for TWO nights only in the majestic Main Hall in the iconic Northcote Town Hall.

The show brings together some of Australia’s best front women to sing some of The King’s most famous songs. Dressed to kill, Kira Puru, Mojo JuJu, Stella Angelico, Simone Page Jones, Abbie Cardwell and Nancy Dancer (Hayley of Twincest) each embody different styles from Elvis’s long and diverse career.

Kira, Mojo, Stella and Hayley starred in the show’s original line-up, which sold out its recent season at Sydney’s Vanguard Theatre.

Sydney producer Russall Beattie is excited to see the show be performed for Melbourne audiences, but insists, “This is not a tribute show, this is a show where the performers are singing the songs like they’re meant to be. With heart, passion and sex - these women have it in spades. Don’t miss out on an incredible show”.
