After three years in the making McAlpine’s Fusiliers released their second album ‘When Giants Walked Our Streets’, produced by Dean Muller (The Cosmic Psyhcos). The album continues the bands journey into the Australian Musical Landscape. Treating with reverence the musical roots that they use to guide them.
“The Fusiliers give all this material a special treatment- ‘swaggie punk’ – loud, proud and uncompromisingly Australian” (John Lamp The Pulse).
Their debut album ‘Sons and Daughters of the Soil’ was released in 2007. “It captures the band’s sound, a musical place where rebellion, toil, tradition, romance and brute honesty connect” - Mark Coombes KLFM.
The new album like the band is a statement of resilience and a celebration for those on stage and the dozens of non-playing members. It’s a testament to the bands tenacity and a tribute to all the Fusiliers onstage and off, who help the Fusiliers continue to play music for the folk.
