Halloween and Melbourne Cup Eve!

Tago Mago – 744 High St, Thornbury
$7 Full / $5 Conc

Tago Mago is celebrating Halloween and Melbourne Cup Eve with an appropriately spooky line up: John Doe and the Shallow Graves (solo), Off To Battle, and the Jack Rabbits. The Jack Rabbits first tore up the stage at popular rock venue Cherry Bar to a large crowd of post-Soundwave festival-goers in 2015. Since then the alternative blues-rock outfit from Melbourne released three visceral singles and dropped a primo garage-rock film clip, ‘The Mirror’, which shows the quartet flexing their raw blues-soaked sound with angular riffs and the distinct wailing vocals of lead singer Jakksen Fish. Off To Battle is the latest music project from the twisted mind of Anthony Robson. It is very much an experimental project, incorporating aspects of rock, punk, alternative, blues and progressive, just to name a few. John Doe and the Shallow Graves envelop you into the darkness of the Murder Ballad, with each song a story, a journey into sorrow and heartache.
