Piano Orchestra
Saturday 5 November @ 4pm
Gray’s Piano World – 730 Plenty Road Reservoir
FREE
The Piano Orchestra is a great excuse to make a lot of noise at the local piano shop. Piano students, teachers and piano players of all ages are invited to take part. Download this year’s song from http://www.katrinawilsonobrien.com, learn the song at home, then come along to Gray’s Piano World on Saturday 5 November to play the song with a whole bunch of other players, in what will be a record breaking event. If you don’t read music, just turn up on the day, there’s a part for you too. In 2015, 22 people and 29 hands played on 10 pianos. In 2016 The Piano Orchestra is out to set a new record – how many hands will play this time? Music teachers, this is a non-competitive performance opportunity for your students and free to take part. It’s also a great opportunity for teachers and students to play together. All ages and skill levels are invited to take part. The project aims to get musicians, kids and families into music stores and playing music with others. Children must be supervised at all times. Go to http://www.katrinawilsonobrien.com to fill in the form and get the music.
