The Bluegrass Stringfreaks
Thursday 3 November @ 8pm
Wesley Anne – 250 High Street Northcote
$15

Line

The Bluegrass Stringfreaks are a collective of award-winning Australian bluegrass musicians. Get ready for a concert featuring the most legitimate, virtuosic and slick bluegrass that can be heard in Australia.  The band will feature Julian Abrahams on Guitar/Vox (Mustered Courage), Hamish Davidson on Banjo/Fiddle (Davidson Brothers), Jacob McGuffie on Guitar/Vox (Davidson Brothers), Pete Fidler on Dobro, and Paddy Montgomery on Mandolin. The event will take place in the elegant and comfortable fireplace room at Wesley Anne. You will be treated to a repertoire of classic bluegrass material blended with original music written for the traditional style. Prepare yourself for an onslaught of acoustic melodies, vocal harmonies, moonshine and madness. The banjo will be blistering; the mandolin will be madness and the acoustic guitars will melt your face off. Better bring some sunscreen. Even though it’s indoors. You’ll thank us later.
