Wednesday 2 November @ 7pm
Gray’s Piano World – 730 Plenty Rd, Reservoir
Evening piano lessons for grown ups. This class is for the unprepared, the commitment-phobic and the overcommitted. For those who outsourced their piano talent years ago to someone with more time. For parents whose musical genius is overshadowed by their children’s musical dawdling. For those who had no choice but to let life in and let piano out. It is for those who love the idea of playing piano with others, who have always wanted to learn, who dream of making glorious sounds and are not afraid of having a go. Piano classes will be held in a quirky venue with bar and a room full of pianos. A bunch of good quality people, and intriguing music. There will be a bit of talk about inspiring things, a bit of listening, a bit of playing with others, a bit of learning your own music, a bit of time at the bar and some recommendations of music you may like to learn. Lessons will culminate in a finale performance at the Piano Orchestra, a Darebin Music Feast Event. Brought to you by Katrina Wilson O’Brien, piano teacher, facilitator of frivolity, and conductor of Squawkestra, Darebin’s own orchestra for adult beginners.
