Two of Melbourne’s finest up-and-coming bands, Riflebirds and The Woodland Hunters, come together for a special night of rock, bluesy psychedelia and raw’n’dusty Americana at the Wesley Anne for Darebin Music Feast.
Prolific five-piece Riflebirds are on a roll, having released two albums in as many years, and then launching another new single ‘Plastic Rock’n’Roller’ earlier in 2017. They’ve played a slew of festivals in recent times and shared a stage with the likes of Davey Lane (You Am I), Ron Peno (Died Pretty) and Dallas Crane. Their latest album World Feels Wide ‘cracks the whip from the get-go’ according to Beat Magazine.
Famous in some parts for their fuzz-drenched guitars and love of ‘70s jam band style workouts, The Woodland Hunters will explore the yin to their yang at this special Darebin Music Feast show with Riflebirds. Taking the level down a few notches from 11, they’ll play some more acoustic but no less exciting interpretations of songs from their much anticipated debut album Let’s Fall Apart.
