The Orbweavers – Album Launch with Biddy Connor & Dave Williams

Sunday 22 October
1.30pm – 5pm
Northcote Social Club – 301 High St, Northcote
$10LineThe-Orbweavers

The Orbweavers return to the beloved Northcote Social Club for a Sunday matinee launch of a new album, Deep Leads.

Deep Leads is about buried and hidden things. Mining the land, the body and mind. Old rivers of feeling. Poison/panacea. Extraction/preservation. Escapism/courage. Cycles of decay and return. Deep Leads is the underlying layer to their previous album Loom. Where Loom explored the basalt bed of the Merri Creek, Deep Leads heads underground and within, exploring industrial, agricultural and personal histories (Blue Lake, The Dry, Invertebrate City), heavy and precious metals (Radium Girls, Mine), internal realms of escape and quest (Poison Garden, Cyclamen, Nitrates). The live show will be an afternoon of trumpets, guitars, percussion and stories about place and time.

Melbourne musical treasures Biddy Connor & Dave Williams will open the matinee with beautiful viola, saw and percussion songs.
