Abbie Cardwell has been roaming the globe blending her musical influences from Mexico to the USA and back to the open roads of Australia. A long held dream to work in the studio with renowned American producer Nick DiDia came true and the new single Guiding Star was immortalised into a stunning recording.
The hypnotic melody of this song began as Abbie strummed on the white Caribbean sands of Tulum, Mexico. It was a time when Abbie felt extremely lost in her life and direction having left her home-town of Melbroune, sold everything and embarked on a 3 month trip of Mexico. The message of this song became her lullaby and little did she know she had to get lost in order to be found.
Nick DiDia’s final touches and added instrumentation have truly enhanced this other worldly magical quality whilst nailing the clip-clop trotting Americana- Tijuana vibe!
To celebrate the digital release of this beautiful track Abbie teamed up with Astro Video to make a film clip and is hitting the road for the Official Guiding Star tour.
A new band will be formed in Melbourne and another in Brisbane which makes for one very special & unique tour!
