SNAJ was formed in 2017 by tenor saxophonist Omid Shayan, with the goal of writing original compositions that were rhythmically and melodically unusual, yet still sounded and felt funky and accessible.
Since debuting in 2018, the trio have been gigging around Melbourne strengthening their sound and musical concept. The trio will challenge and excite you with tunes that will make you stroke your chin and tap your feet.
With Blake Hansen on drums, Omid Shayan on Tenor Sax and Paul Maz on electric bass.
SNAJ will be supported by the wonderful Oscar Poncell, playing a solo guitar set of tunes from Brazil, Cuba and Peru.
