The ultimate Saturday morning Rage session. Indulge in a carefully curated music clip binge, and then watch the action live as some of Melbourne’s most provoking musicians, artists and film buffs explore the collaborative process of transitioning song to visual narrative. You’ll get a bonus history lesson as we jump around the cinematic notion of the Female Gaze, the MTV ‘Revolution’, and what all of this has meant for how artists use music clips to form narratives that subjugate gender and cultural stereotypes in this most binary of digi times. Featuring Angie Hart, Cerise Howard (3RRR, Czech & Slovak Film Festival), Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore (Her Sound, Her Story) and Laura Imbruglia.
Please note: the program for Clip Flicks includes one video that contains high level violence and adult themes that may confront some viewers.
