AMPLIFY 2019 – Event Producer Mentorship

AMPLIFY is Darebin Music Feast’s Event Producer Mentorship. A targeted professional development opportunity, it seeks to address inequality in the music industry by supporting and amplifying lesser heard voices.

ANNOUNCING Winnie Mcquinn and Acacia Coates are the 2019 AMPLIFY Producers. Together under the mentorship of Woody McDonald will be co-producing Darebin Music Feast closing day event ‘GREEN NOISE’. Head to the event page for more details.

Acacia is a musician in the bands PINCH POINTS, Slush and Sunfruits. She currently holds a position in the ticketing team at The Corner Group, and has previously worked as a Sponsorship Coordinator on events included St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival and Good Things Festival, and in social media roles. Being passionate about representation in music, Acacia donates her spare time to Girls Rock! Melbourne and The Push.

Winnie is a musician and sound artist performing in the bands Sunfruits, Culte and IV League. Winnie is mid-way through a Bachelor of Music at Box Hill Institute, and is currently working on a commissioned sound art piece ‘Drums In Motion’ for the City of Melbourne’s Signal program. He is involved in booking shows for The Fitzroy Pinnacle and Emerging Artists Stage at Grampians Music Festival, and is passionate about music and sustainability.

Mentor Woody McDonald is a Melbourne based curator and DJ. Major projects include programming the Meredith & Golden Plains festivals and hosting the Cave on 3RRRFM.
